Project Overview
Reeducated takes viewers inside one of Xinjiang’s “reeducation” camps, guided by the recollections of three men who were imprisoned together at the same facility. The film was a partnership with The New Yorker and supported by The Pulitzer Center, Eyebeam, and ONA. The project was hand illustrated, then animated in 3D for an impactful and unique visual experience.
My Contributions
Concept, design and animate intro graphics, titles, subtitles throughout the film in 360 VR format, using real-time VR visualization in After Effects and Cinema4D.
